Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Paro & Transfer to Thimphu

Experience one of the most spectacular flights in the world as you descend into the Paro Valley surrounded by majestic mountains. Upon arrival, our Bhutanese guide will welcome you. We will then drive to Thimphu (approx. 1.5 hours), the capital of Bhutan. After checking in and having lunch, we will visit the National Memorial Chorten and the impressive Tashichho Dzong (the fortress of the glorious religion). Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 2 Thimphu Sightseeing & Drive back to Paro

Start the day by visiting the giant Buddha Dordenma statue, offering expansive views of Thimphu. We will then explore local cultural sites such as the Takin Preserve (to see Bhutan's unique national animal) and the National Textile Museum. After lunch, we take a scenic drive back to Paro. In the evening, you can stroll around the charming Paro town to pick up some souvenirs. Overnight in Paro.

Day 3 The Legendary Tiger's Nest Hike (Paro Taktsang)

Today is the highlight of your Bhutan trip! After breakfast, we take a short drive to the base of the trail leading to Paro Taktsang, famously known as the Tiger's Nest. Perched precariously on a cliff 900 meters above the valley floor, this sacred monastery is a sight to behold. The hike takes about 2 to 3 hours up and 1.5 hours down. We will have lunch at the cafeteria halfway down. Overnight in Paro.

Day 4 Departure from Paro to Kathmandu

Enjoy your final Bhutanese breakfast. Our team will transfer you to Paro International Airport for your breathtaking return flight to Kathmandu, Nepal, carrying unforgettable memories of the Land of the Thunder Dragon.

Equipment

  • Bhutan is a deeply religious country. Please wear modest clothing, keeping shoulders and knees covered when entering Dzongs and temples.
  • A good pair of walking shoes or light hiking boots is essential for the Tiger's Nest hike.
  • Photography is strictly prohibited inside the altars of the temples and monasteries.
  • The hike to Tiger's Nest takes approximately 4-5 hours round trip; physical fitness is recommended, though you can take it at your own pace.
